Hawaii Public Radio: Bytemarks Cafe

Dr. Patrick Sullivan joined Hawaii Public Radio Host, Burt Lum on the Bytemarks Cafe program to discuss Oceanit’s development of ASSURE-19. With the opening up of Hawaii’s economy dependent on rapid, reliable, and available COVID-19 testing, they discussed how can Hawaii keep up and overcome test supply shortages.

Mr. Lum was keen to learn more about Oceanit’s development activities and our novel approach to testing that has the potential to scale across US markets and beyond.  They discussed how the ASSURE test diagnostic was actually a quick pivot for Oceanit on existing cancer research work.  Using AI-powered research, Oceanit was able to adapt project work looking at cancer genomics to examine the SARS-Cov-2 viral proteins and develop a breakthrough way to test for the COVID-19 disease.
